She has worked in 16 different counties and shown properties in many more across Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia, primarily within 2 hours of Montgomery County; although she is not afraid to put in the drive-time to help a client. Denise’s farm transaction experience allows her to craft “outside the box” solutions to both farm and residential work. Backed by a trusted network of professionals, she has helped clients navigate farm financing, resolve home and farm insurance issues, correct appraisal errors, negotiate complex buyer and seller contracts, guide budget-conscious first-time homebuyers, and more.
One example of Denise’s problem-solving and network strength came during a farm closing when the buyers’ lender refused to fund the purchase due to a missing insurance policy–less than 24 hours before settlement. With the sellers facing a simultaneous close and 40 horses in temporary housing, Denise contacted the sellers’ insurance broker and, despite the buyers working for 45 days to secure a policy, established one within just 30 minutes–the deal was saved.
A farm owner, longtime realtor, and lifelong equestrian, Denise has hands-on rural and equestrian living knowledge. She has 50+ years in the horse industry, and 30+ years of business management as the owner of Equestrian Promotions, Inc.–the promoters of Horse World Expo–and founded and leads an all volunteer run nonprofit horse rescue that has helped over 200 at-risk gaited horses since 2016. Her work background includes electrical engineering, PR, advertising, and accounting. She helps buyers envision a home’s value and works with sellers to prepare listings that stand out.
